Tattoos I’ll never get bored of creating: anime, video games, Pokémon & more

Some tattoo styles are impressive, but the ones that genuinely light my brain up are the nerdy anime and video-game ones. These are things that I enjoy day to day in my home life so it's awesome when I get to bring my own passions into my workplace.

I’ll never get bored of tattooing anime characters, pet portraits and video game tattoos. Pokémon, Disney and Studio Ghibli are some of my most requested themes for tattoos, but realistically I'm so happy tattooing anything that comes with a bit of colour, nostalgia, or emotional attachment. Even if it's from an anime or game I haven't watched or played yet - maybe I'll discover something new to love along the way :)

A lot of clients worry their idea might be something I’m not interested in because they haven’t seen me tattoo it before. I promise you, I am interested - I’m just waiting for you to ask, because nobody else has yet.

Video Game Tattoos -

Gaming-themed tattoos are probably what I do the most, and that’s no accident. I’ve always loved gaming, so much so that I actually did my degree in video-game design (I’ll do a full blog post on my gaming history soon).

Over the years I’ve tattooed a huge range of gaming-inspired designs. Pokémon, Final Fantasy, and The Legend of Zelda are some of the biggest repeat favourites, but I’m always open to working with other games too. I love mixing things up and designing something that feels personal with elements that you love and are inspired by!

Pokemon Tattoos -

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that over the last 12 years I’ve been lucky enough to tattoo an extraordinary number of Pokémon. Honestly, I will never get sick of them.

New Pokémon being released definitely helps, but most people still come back to the classics. I’ve tattooed a lot of Bulbasaurs, Vaporeons, and Gengars over the years… and I’m still not bored. Keep 'em coming!

Anime Tattoos -

Studio Ghibli tattoos are by far the most requested anime designs I do, a true fan favourite - but I’ve actually worked on all sorts over the years. From One Piece and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to Naruto and Nier Automata, and plenty more in between.

Anime tattoos give so much room for colour, movement, and emotion, and I love translating that energy into something that works beautifully on skin.

Everything else -

I’m definitely not limited to Pokémon, Disney, and Ghibli. I’ve had the pleasure of working on tattoos from all sorts of fandoms and themes, and I can honestly say I’ve loved every single one.

From Hazbin Hotel and Steven Universe to SpongeBob, Bob’s Burgers, and Star Wars, these projects keep my work varied, interesting, and genuinely fun. They give me life.

So in short...

Because I genuinely love these themes, the design process is collaborative and relaxed. You don’t need a finished idea, just a starting point and something you care about.

My studio is private, calm, and low-pressure, which makes it especially comfortable for anxious or neurodivergent clients who want a tattoo experience that feels safe and un-rushed.
