Halloween Tattoos That Are Spooky, Cute & Everything In Between
Spooky season is upon us, so it's definitely time to start planning a tattoo to celebrate. As a spooky/kawaii loving tattoo artist at Mt. Moon Tattoo in Gloucester, I’ve created everything from haunting blackwork designs to kawaii-style pumpkins and witchy cats, because as you know - Halloween is the perfect excuse to embrace all things witchy and ghostly! Whether you're into pumpkins, bats, ghost Pokémon, or haunted houses - there are so many great Halloween tattoo ideas out there. In this post, I'll share a few of my favourites to help you find inspiration for your next Halloween tattoo.

Blackwork Halloween Tattoos
Blackwork is perfect for Halloween designs, even though I mainly do colour tattoos, some things just need that kind of edgier look - such as a haunted house, or a witches hand or a cute cauldron for example!
One of my favourite Halloween tattoos I've done is this haunted house with bats flying around and a little graveyard out front - it was super fun!
Cute, Kawaii Halloween Tattoos
Not all Halloween tattoos have to be dark and spooky! For those who love cute or pastel styles, kawaii inspired spooky tattoos are a fun twist. Think pumpkins with cute little faces, bat ice-creams and delicious candy corn, but also maybe tarot cards inspired by your favourite games and anime, or even your pet dressed up in a cute halloween costume?
It's a fun way to combine Halloween with something else you might also enjoy year round - keeping that tattoo super relevant during the other months.
Halloween Movies turned into a tattoo
Okay so there are tonnes of great Halloween movies out there, and so many of them that would inspire some really fun halloween tattoos, but...I don't have a lot of examples sadly. I do however, have a couple of Nightmare Before Christmas tattoos and a Beetlejuice tattoo I can share!
Jack and Sally are the ultimate Halloween power couple - in my opinion! The Beetlejuice sandworm is iconic, I love the mix of the soft realism rose paired with the graphic style of the sandworm. And finally, the NBC Scary Teddy is a great example of a small little gap filler style tattoo if you're not wanting to commit to something huge!
Pokemon Halloween Tattoo Ideas!
Because it is me, and I do all things Pokemon, it would be rude to not include some iconic ghosty halloween Pokemon tattoos I've completed over the years. Ghost Pokemon are the obvious choice when it comes to doing anything Halloween themed, however, I do like the spooky alt version of Vaporeon we have here, and of course Zubat and Pumpkaboo are great alternatives to your classic bat tattoo.
